Happy Easter !
I finished the project for my sis, I’ll post it soon. It’s nothing to write home about, I find that my actual stitching around the characters is improving. I need to work on faces though.
Wondering what I find so terrifying. Well, it’s not zombies. I can assure you of that. I figure after all the zombie movies I’ve watched lately I’d be an expert zombie hunter – unless these were new fangled zombies that couldn’t be killed by a bullet in the head, perhaps their weak spot would be in their big toe. That would be a shocker.
Sorry, I’m rambling. Tomorrow, after work, I have to see the dentist. Not for anything so scary at the moment. But it’s a consultation for getting my wisdom teeth removed. That is scary. Not just the cost, but the pain this endeavour will no doubt entail. I had hoped maybe they’d rot out in a painless manner. But no, they are happy healthy teeth that are growing in such a fashion that they are pushing against the rest of my teeth causing issues. Wish me luck peeps.
So I was looking through some of my old files I’d saved onto CD and found this Woodman image that I made years back, as I recall it was made with the shape and line tool in Photoshop. It was like a walk down memory lane as I remembered how much I enjoyed Rockman/Megaman back in 2005.

I recall I had made a pattern for a felt Cutman.EXE I looked for it, but could not for the life of me find it. I’ll look again this weekend. If I find it I’ll make it and see how it turns out. My project for the week is to create little felt people from a pattern my sister made. I’ll see how they turn out and post them. I feel that with enough practice I might be able to become somewhat skilled.
I wonder if I need wool felt. Maybe that would make me look better. Lol. Anyone work with wool felt? If you do let me know if the surface is a fuzzy as the cheap stuff. Frankly, where I live I can’t even GET wool felt. I’ve never seen the stuff before. My best bet is buying it online, but as it is expensive I am reluctant to buy iany.
Yeah baby, my hand sewing skills rock! Aside from that pig that I started months back (not yet complete, sitting in a box at the gluing stage) I have not sewn by hand since I was in grade school, I haven’t done much machine sewing since high school. On Thursday I decided to try to create something so I made this:

It’s supposed to be a hamster. It looks like a bear. Therefore I will call it a Teddy Bear Hamster. I think the reason it looks like a bear is because I forgot the whiskers. Whoops.
Then today I was flipping through the channels and found that there wasn’t anything on worth watching. So I flipped to

Yes while it appears slightly lopsided I’d say it was a good job, if I were 7. However, I am not. I’m claiming this as my practice phase. The fact that my creations look like a child made them is simply because I’m out of practice. Not because I’m a bad seamstress. There is I suppose a reason for my reluctance, that being my apparent lack of talent. However, I’m going to stick with this to justify the purchase of some new craft books, and to entertain you with my juvenile creations.
How do you like the new look? I thought the website could use a little overhaul. I’ve got some new things to show. I’m hoping I can post again tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers.
Apologies for my lengthy absence, if it could have been helped I would have been posting all of this time. Due to the evil that is school combined with work and life in general I haven’t had the time to post let alone craft. I hope that I will have at least a brief respite which will allow me to work on my blog, my crafting and my other projects.
For those of you wondering how I did on my university courses, I passed. Yay! … Well, to be honest I’m waiting on my philosophy final exam mark…that lady is incredibly slow at marking. I find it somewhat irritating, because as a student I’m forced to hand in my work in a timely fashion, and I hardly believe I’m asking too much for my work to be marked in the same way. The worst part is that I have to take another class with her. I may hold off on taking that class for a while. I can say that I’ve passed that class, as well because it would blow my mind if I did not pass.
I bought a Canon 770 PowerShot camera a while back and didn’t have much time to play with it until now. Below you can see some of my wonderful photography. XD

This one is at max zoom from the car.
Now if only I had some subjects to photograph. Bwahaha. I’m going to go out of my way and try to find something awesome to take pictures of.
Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I appreciate it. I only wish I had something spectacular to show everyone to celebrate my journal of the week. As it stands I have still not completed my felt craft. However, I did find the glue, so that’s a start. I thought I’d end up buying some tomorrow. At this rate I should have it done by Friday. Even though I have not completed my project I’ll show you what it’s supposed to look like. I can tell it will look nothing like this.

Like I said before, it won’t look a thing like this…I suppose it will be pink. That way people will be able to guess that it’s a pig.
Aside from my felt pig project I have been working on creating an unstoppable army.

As you can see soon my Scotties will be running amuck causing mischief and putting facial tissues where you’d least expect it. I figure an army of Scotties is much more controllable than that of the undead.
It is cold today. The furnace has been running all day and I’m still cold in my room. Granted it could be due to the draft coming through my window. It’s only bothersome on cold windy days. I realize I had made some “lofty” promises of posting during the week. Unfortunately life got in the way. I managed to get away from life for some time today, which is good, and have made time to post.
You would think that since I’ve been so busy this week I’d have news to report. Yet I do not. If it wasn’t winter, I might actually leave the house, but with temperatures being -45° outside I’ll stay inside my draftee room. Oh, the neighbour woke me up at
I have yet to complete my felt project, it’s all sewn up, I just need to glue on a few pieces, but you know how it is. That means I have to look for the glue. And we all know how crafty glue can be. *badum ching* I really enjoyed that. Maybe I’ll find the glue tomorrow. Still here’s that book that I was going to show you earlier in the week.

Considering I just got this new crocheting book, one would think I’d progressed in my crochet training. I am pleased to announce that I am still on …

I hope to progress to Lesson 3 in the near future.
I think I’m in love! I just watched the trailer for the Star Trek XI. It didn’t actually show anything, but my goodness it’s just sexy. I want to watch it. I want to watch it on the big screen. Or little dinky theatre screen in my neighbourhood. I have not been this passionate about a movie in ages. I WILL see this film in the theatre even if it kills me. Now, I just need to find someone who will sit in a theatre to watch a Star Trek movie. I downloaded a trailer from http://www.trekcore.com/, a real high quality version – except it is in quicktime. Why does everyone choose that format? It’s no good. For those of you who are interested watch the Youtube trailer.
Now, if you want to see the one from the actual movie watch this one.
Aside from that last week the mailman visited. He made me very happy, by bringing me crafting books. He came again today and brought me another one. These are the ones I got last week.

I’ve already started making a felt pig. It should be done soon and I’ll post pictures of it. I’ll also post the book I got today later this week.
I went to the mail today, and was disappointed to find that there was nothing there… I’m waiting on some books. Generally though, there’s at least something in the box, a flyer, a bill, anything. I felt as if it was the beginning of the end of the world. I only pray that tomorrow brings something. Preferable money and books, as opposed to bills and junk.
A week or so ago I was lucky enough to receive my Okage: Shadow King figures. I was so happy. I have the complete set. However, the complete set doesn’t include Epros or Kisling. I don’t understand. Okay, Kisling was not a memorable character, but Epros was one of my favourites.
If your not familiar with Okage, it’s a PS2 game that came out in 2001. It’s about a boy named Ari who’s shadow is possessed by the spirit of the one and only Evil King Stan. The duo meet up with several other characters and end up questing to kill off the impostor evil kings in order for Stan to regain his powers. It is, in my opinion, the best RPG for the PS2. If only they’d create a sequel. I’ve posted the pictures of my toys for you below. Right now they are still in their boxes, but I think that will change soon. I have plans for them.
