Happy Easter !
I was so happy to see the following books in the Crafters Book Club that I quickly purchased them.

It was a two book set, I bought it for the book above, but Lacy Crochet came with it.

Now unfortunately I have never crocheted in my life. This makes it difficult to do much in the way of creation. Thus, the next time I went to Michael's I decided to get some books that would help me in my desire to learn the fine art of crocheting.
This book was in a kit with crochet hooks, I couldn't take a look in it to see if it was any good, but I needed the tools anyway so I figured, why not.

And I mean, with "More Than 30 Fun Projects" who could resist. Admittedly though, the book seemed a little advanced. After all the cover shows a baby blanket. That seems difficult to me. So I looked for another book that might be a little more my speed.
I came up with this...

The book contains brightly colored images, and thus hopefully will keep my attention. The projects are small and simple. The book's dated 2002, but looks like it was made in the late 80's early 90's. It's geared for ages 9-14, while it may have been years since I was that age, I'm thinking the instructions should be simplistic enough to follow.
You should see how into crocheting these girls are in the book. It's like their lives revolve around it. I remember when I was that age I was playing video games and watching the WWF. These kids frighten me.
