A Little Late

Yeah baby, my hand sewing skills rock! Aside from that pig that I started months back (not yet complete, sitting in a box at the gluing stage) I have not sewn by hand since I was in grade school, I haven’t done much machine sewing since high school. On Thursday I decided to try to create something so I made this:

It’s supposed to be a hamster. It looks like a bear. Therefore I will call it a Teddy Bear Hamster. I think the reason it looks like a bear is because I forgot the whiskers. Whoops.

Then today I was flipping through the channels and found that there wasn’t anything on worth watching. So I flipped to Jurassic Park and decided to create another masterpiece. This is what I ended up with:

Yes while it appears slightly lopsided I’d say it was a good job, if I were 7. However, I am not. I’m claiming this as my practice phase. The fact that my creations look like a child made them is simply because I’m out of practice. Not because I’m a bad seamstress. There is I suppose a reason for my reluctance, that being my apparent lack of talent. However, I’m going to stick with this to justify the purchase of some new craft books, and to entertain you with my juvenile creations.
